  • Type : Traditional resin collection

Description : The Aleppo pine tree, which is predominant on the island, was historically used for the production of resinated wine. In the last century, Agkistri traded resin all over Greece, with an annual production reaching 3,000-4,000 okades per year (oka: a metric system unit that was adopted in 1876 and abolished in 1953).
